Behind the work

Traditional craft. A new beginning.

Yazhi Handcrafts is an early-stage business based in Pongalur, Tiruppur. Its website brings together wooden and clay playthings, traditional craft and gifts, with enquiries and orders handled through a conversation on WhatsApp.

In its own story, Yazhi connects children with the skills and knowledge passed between generations: pottery, traditional toys, farming and rural life. It describes working with artisans from across India. We are getting to know the people and processes behind the range as Greenvy prepares its first collections.

Looking to expand

Yazhi is looking to expand into agricultural products in the future. This is an area it is exploring, rather than a range currently available through Greenvy.
